Lagoon Nebula portion of the Milky Way

This entire region is surrounded by numerous Messier class objects.  M8, M20, M21, M22, M23, M24, M25 and M28 are all visible in this photo; a spectacular region of the sky.  Most all these objects, especially M8, M22, and M24, are easily visible as naked eye objects in dark skies.

Location: Texas Star Party, near Fort Davis, Texas
Equipment: 10" LX-200 with Nikon F2 piggybacked, 135mm lens
