Scorpius and Antares One of the more colorful
regions of the sky! Yellow, red and blue nebulosity come together
around Rho Ophiuchi and Antares, a bright, beautiful yellow star.
Also clearly shown is the 'L' shaped Pipe Nebula (Barnard
59, 65-67, and 78), a series of dark dust clouds only 600-700
light years away. Taken at Texas Star Party, May, 2002. 10 min. @ 200mm f/4. Nikon F2 piggybacked on LX200. Guided with STV. Kodak Royal Gold 400 film. Processing includes levels adjustment, color balance, and enlargement.
