I had the enormous pleasure of giving a presentation to the Fort Worth Astronomical Society's Astrophotography special interest group last night. Around a dozen great dudes listened to me ramble on for 2+ hours about this awesome hobby...and I'd like to thank them for acting like I did a good job.
The area has a lot of talent and willing imagers willing to take the next step in this hobby...and there's no better time than to learn it. Money can go a long way now, especially with the introduction of powerful CMOS-based, cooled astro cameras available today for very moderate prices.
